Reminders

Recall and Reminder Policy

At Classic Way Family Practice, we prioritize your health and well-being. To ensure you receive the best possible care, we have a Recall and Reminder Policy in place.

This policy helps us keep track of important follow-ups and ensures you stay up-to-date with necessary health checks and treatments.

Recalls

Our doctors and nurses are committed to providing thorough care, including follow-up for any investigations or tests.

If you have undergone tests either within our practice or through a specialist, we may initiate a recall if a follow-up appointment is needed.

  • When is a recall necessary?

    • To discuss test results or further investigations

    • To review specialist letters or hospital discharge summaries

    • To monitor ongoing medical conditions

How do recalls work?

If a follow-up is required, we will contact you via SMS or email encouraging you to book an appointment with your doctor.

If we do not receive a response, our reception team will attempt to reach you by phone.

If phone contact is unsuccessful, we may send a letter by post to ensure you receive important health information.

Reminders

In addition to recalls, we also use a reminder system to help you stay on top of essential health checks and treatments.

Your doctor or practice nurse may set reminders for future appointments or preventive health measures.

  • Examples of reminders include:

    • Cervical, breast, or bowel cancer screening

    • Skin checks

    • Immunizations, including depot injections

    • Chronic disease management reviews

How do reminders work?

You may receive reminders via SMS or email to prompt you to schedule an appointment.

This proactive approach helps you stay informed and up-to-date on preventive care and important health services.
