Booking Appointments

At Classic Way Family Practice in Burleigh Waters, we strive to make booking your General Practitioner (GP) appointments as convenient as possible.

Patients can schedule appointments either by calling our reception or by booking online through our HealthEngine/Hotdoc system.

Booking by Phone

To book an appointment via phone, please call our reception at        0755 680 600

during our operating hours:

• Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

• Sunday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Our friendly receptionists will assist you in scheduling a suitable appointment. Please note that telephone appointments are available at the doctor’s discretion.

When booking online, we encourage you to select the appropriate appointment type to ensure adequate time is allocated for your consultation.

This helps our practitioners prepare for your specific needs and provides you with the best possible care.

We aim to provide you with a smooth and pleasant experience from the moment you book your appointment to the completion of your care

CHOOSING RIGHT APPOINTMENT

When booking your appointment online through systems like HotDoc or HealthEngine, it’s important to select the right appointment type.

Doing so helps both the doctor and the reception team prepare effectively for your visit, ensuring you receive the best possible  care.

Here’s why choosing the right appointment type matters:

  1. Prioritization and Preparation: By selecting the correct appointment type, the doctor and reception team can better prioritize your visit and prepare any necessary resources.      For example, if you're booking a routine check-up, they’ll know it’s a straightforward appointment, but if you’re booking for a specific concern, like a skin condition or a chronic issue, they’ll be prepared to offer more focused care.

  2. Receiving Relevant Information: When you select the correct appointment, the system may send you secure links to gather additional information about your condition or health history. These links help ensure the doctor is fully informed before your appointment, so you don't have to repeat yourself when you arrive. This allows the doctor to understand your needs better and provide more efficient care.

  3. A Seamless Process for the Best Outcome: The online booking system is designed to make your experience as smooth as possible. By providing any requested information in advance, you help create a streamlined process that leads to a more effective consultation and the best possible outcome for your health.
     

This small step of choosing the right appointment type helps everyone involved—especially you, the patient—get the most out of your visit.

If you ever need help deciding which appointment to choose, don’t hesitate to contact the reception, and they can guide you through the process.

DURING THE APPOINTMENT

We kindly request that you arrive on time for all your scheduled appointments. Being punctual ensures that you receive the full benefit of your consultation and allows us to maintain an efficient schedule for all our patients.

Late arrivals can disrupt the flow of the clinic and may result in your appointment being shortened or needing to be rescheduled.

Cancelling or Rescheduling Appointments

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please notify our Reception team as soon as possible. Providing adequate notice allows us to offer your appointment slot to another patient who may need it.

You can contact the Reception team by phone to cancel or reschedule your appointment. We appreciate at least 24 hours' notice whenever possible to help us manage our schedule effectively.

Seeing the Nurse Before Your Doctor’s Consultation

In some cases, you may be asked to see a Nurse before your consultation with the doctor.

This allows us to gather important observations, such as your blood pressure, weight, and other relevant medical information. The Nurse may also conduct a brief medical review if necessary.

This process helps to streamline your care, provides the doctor with valuable information, and ensures that your consultation is as thorough and efficient as possible.

We value your cooperation in following these guidelines, which enables us to provide the best possible care for you and all our patients. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our team.

AFTER THE APPOINTMENT

After your consultation with the doctor, we encourage you to check with the Reception team.

They will assist you with arrange any follow-up appointments if needed and the payment process if any. This ensures that all necessary steps are completed and helps us provide you with continuous and comprehensive care.

Medical Consultation

New Patients are Welcome:
We are accepting new patients..

If you are a new patient, upon booking your appointment, you will automatically receive a new patient form via SMS.

Please complete and submit this form before your scheduled appointment to facilitate a smooth registration process.

Billing Information

Our practice offers mixed billing services. 

Dr. Khan and Dr. Sajid currently provide bulk billing to patients. 

Dr. Sri, Dr. Chaw and Dr. Sumaira, offer mixed billing services.
